David Cameron in Wolverhampton
April 28th, 2007 by Wolverhampton Conservatives
David Cameron visited Wolverhampton city centre on Thursday (27 April), to meet with local people and talk about the Conservatives’ approach.
During a visit to Wolverhampton Victim Support he emphasised the need for crime prevention and early intervention to turn people away from crime. He also cited treatment as the solution to the country’s drug problem and stated his belief that it’s just as important to target white collar crime as any other.
Referring to low crime detection rates, David mentioned that criminals no longer fear being caught.
Moving on from Victim Support, David met a variety of people on the city’s streets, as well as Conservative candidates standing in May’s local elections.
