New direction for Wolverhampton
April 8th, 2007 by Wolverhampton Conservatives
Today, we have unveiled our five-point plan for a better city. Conservatives across the city have started to take the message of change, optimism and hope to every part of Wolverhampton.
Our five-point plan for a better city
A cleaner, greener, safer city
We will invest more money in street cleaning, road maintenance, recycling and neighbourhood wardens.
Wolverhampton: a city of enterprise and jobs
We aim to build a highly skilled workforce and attract large, high-tech employers back to our City.
Protecting older people and those in need of care
We will reinvest in Social Services facilities for the elderly and people living with disabilities.
A city of good housing
We will invest more on getting private empty property back onto the market, and more on bringing council housing up to modern standards.
An end to inflation-busting Council Tax and Rent rises
Better management of public finances for council tax payers and tenants.
