Simon became a Wednesfield resident at primary school age when his mother and father moved to the area to join the rest of their family. He was educated at D’Eyncourt Primary and Wednesfield High School.

He became a school governor when he was studying for his A-Levels in the sixth form. He decided to get involved with the local party and maybe one day stand for election. Simon was elected Conservative Councillor for Wednesfield South in May 2000 and was re-elected with an increased vote in 2004.

On graduaton from university, Simon ran his own graphic design business. In 2005, Simon became Conservative Party Campaign Director for the West Midlands.

Simon says, “In my day-job I see what a difference Conservative councils make to the quality of life for residents. Cleaner streets, safer areas, better schools together with value for money. That’s what I want to see for my area.”
